Bethesda homes span pre-war brick colonials in Edgemoor and Battery Park, tudors and cape cods on the older side streets, and a steady wave of custom rebuilds with complex rooflines, standing-seam accents and large gable dormers. Each of those calls for something different, so we look at the roof itself before we put a number on it.
